What is a toolbar?
The toolbar is a rectaungular shaped set of “buttons” that appear on your browser window whenever you open it. Some of the buttons are functional, meaning they provide you with a ceratain service (calculation, email, radio etc.), and some are links to ceratain pages on the Web

Who benefits from it?
The main benefit is that a toolbar provides you with a group of links that are useful for you, and you are only a click away from reaching your desired web pages. In the case of functional buttons, they provide with the intended service or entertainment.
As for content providers, they benefit by being reachable to you, which increases traffic to their pages.

What does it mean for publishers?
A publisher who has one of their pages linked on a toolbar, is one click away from all the people who have installed the toolbar. If those users like it and start sending it to each other, then this publisher will be constantly available to the new users, and this increases the chances that users will click on their link button to visit their Web site.

What does it mean for advertisers?
When a user clicks on one of these buttons, they are directed to a “landing page”, and there is a great chance that there are advertisements on that page. This is the main benefit for advertisers. The more people download the toolbar, the more they are likely to visit the pages they have advertised on.

Can I make money from a toolbar?
A new toolbar will shortly be launched by Agloco, which is called “Viewbar”. This is a sharing-based project where all users and the ones they referred own a piece of the revenue generated by this toolbar. The more users you bring, the higher your share is.
